The new school year comes with new activities and beneficiaries

faviconSeptember is not only about the beginning of a new school year, but also about the continuation of non-formal educational activities in the Be part of the Community!


Thus, for 80 pupils of 3rd and 4th grades, but also for 120 preschoolers from Curcani (Călăraşi County) and Româneşti (Dâmboviţa County), the school year 2021-2022 proposes a series of educational activities in a non-formal context to recover the educational gaps, to develop new skills and competencies, but also to enjoy together the novelties and toys that the two ladies who ensure the development of the remedial program have discovered.

The project Be part of the community! Integrated services addressed to the local Roma community from Curcani and Românești benefits from a grant of € 772,740 provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants under the Local Development Program. The aim of the project is to increase the inclusion and empowerment of approximately 1000 Roma people, over a period of 36 months, through education, health and housing services appropriate to their needs, through proactive social assistance, entrust and empowerment of young people and women and through the awareness of the community regarding the non-discrimination of the Roma population in two Roma communities from Călărași county (Curcani locality) and Dâmbovița county (Românești locality).
